Tennis Elbow

(also Golfers Elbow)

Golfer's Elbow (pain inside the elbow) and Tennis Elbow (pain outside the elbow) are both caused by trigger points and fascial restriction in muscles and tissue of the arm and Myofascial release and trigger point therapy are used for problems where overuse or repetitive strain has resulted in painful fascial adhesions in the muscles and joints. Rest is often prescribed for these conditions, but this just lulls the trigger points into a quiet latent state, but it doesn't get rid of them. Likewise stretching and exercise to muscles that are weakened by trigger points is more likely to make them worse. Joanna will give you myofascial stretches to do once the trigger points have been eliminated, and has a good success rate for these two conditions.
